Wardrobes

Wardrobes measured to the room, not to a catalogue

Floor-to-ceiling storage that uses the full height of the wall, with internals planned around what you actually own.
A six-door wardrobe with open side shelves, built in Gorakhpur

A freestanding almirah wastes the top two feet of every wall it stands against, and the gap behind it collects dust nobody can reach. A built-in wardrobe uses the whole wall, closes flush, and gives you back floor space in a bedroom that probably does not have much to spare.

The part people underestimate is the inside. Hanging height for sarees is not the same as for shirts. A family that stores quilts for four months of the year needs a loft that opens properly, not a shelf you need a stool to reach. We plan the internals around what you own before we settle the outside.

Common questions

About wardrobes

Sliding or hinged?

Sliding saves the swing space in front, which matters in a narrow bedroom, but you only ever see half the wardrobe at once and the channels need cleaning. Hinged gives you the full opening and costs less. If there is at least two feet of clearance in front of the wall, we usually suggest hinged.

Can a wardrobe go on an outside wall?

It can, but the wall needs checking first. An external wall in Gorakhpur can carry damp through in the monsoon, so the back of a wardrobe should not sit flush against the plaster. We look at the wall when we measure and tell you what it needs before anything is built against it.
